Emmaus Public Library hosting mini-golf event

The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Stop by for a visit and experience the beautiful displays that provides a glimpse into many facets of past community life.
The historical society’s next program and membership meeting is March 20 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. The presentation is titled “A Generational Look at the Ninth Grade Experience” presented by current high school teacher and podcast host, Chris Stuchko. Emmaus High School students, past and present, will reminisce about that first year of high school. Programs are free and members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.
The historical society’s fundraising committee is looking forward to Lucky Bucks Bingo. Join them 2-5 p.m. March 16. Tickets are on sale online atlehighvalleychamber.org/events or at the Emmaus Jewel Shop and the Emmaus Historical Society. Get your tickets now before they sell out.
The next bus trip is Hunterdon Hills, ”Swing the Musical” May 6. The deadline to sign up is March 14. Call Nancy at 610-967-5715 for more information and to register. They look forward to seeing all the regulars and hopefully some new faces too.

On March 24, The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will celebrate its annual Girls of the Month. Since 1953, the Woman’s Club of Emmaus has celebrated the accomplishments of eight Emmaus High School senior girls through the Girl of the Month Program. This year one young woman was selected in two departments for her accomplishments. The public is invited to attend 6 p.m. in the EHS cafeteria. Dessert will be served.
This year’s awardees are: Lillian Price – art, Ava Grace Saab – drama, Amanda King – family/consumer science and business/computer application, Carina McCallum – journalism; Priya Mancheril – mathematics, Anna Romina Chavilla – Ramirez – music and Sarah Lorenzo – science.
The Woman’s Club of Emmaus will hold a spring dessert card party 1 p.m. April 24 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. This card party helps with funding for the club’s scholarship for a graduating senior at EHS. Board games will be played along with cards. The Emmaus Chorale will begin its rehearsals 7-9 p.m. March 3 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, in preparation for its spring concert 3 p.m. June 8. The chorale repertoire will include madrigals, classics (Requiem Paradisum by Faure), Broadway tunes (Sweeney Todd and My Fair Lady) and other fresh and interesting pieces selected by director Donald Ryan.

Join the Emmaus Public Library for a round of 18-hole mini-golf inside the library March 7 and 8. The first date, 6-9 p.m. March 7 is for participants 21 and over only. Admission includes light refreshments, live music and one adult beverage. The event is open to all ages 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8. There is a cost and children 4 and under play free. Putters, balls and score cards will be provided to each registered player. A 50/50 cash raffle will be held each day, along with a kids’ guessing contest March 8. All proceeds benefit the library. Please note the library will be closed for regular business March 7 and 8.
Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St., will host its biannual rummage sale 8 a.m. to noon March 29. A bag sale begins 11 a.m. Show up and see what treasures are to be found.
