Ora D. Kramlich

First Presbyterian Church member

Ora “Dolly” D. Kramlich, 96, of Whitehall, died Feb. 17, 2025, at Above and Beyond at the Knights in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Dick Kramlich for 65 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Grace (Davies) Schray.

She attended Allentown High School, graduating in 1946. She then attended Allentown Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1949.

She worked as a registered nurse, working in medical surgery, ICU and ICU staff instruction and at the Phoebe Home, totaling nearly 40 years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua. In addition to singing in the church choir for more than 60 years, she was also a deacon, an elder and the treasurer for the church.

She was a longtime member of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. She volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother, a PTA officer and at the local voting site.

She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Matthews and Alice Wall and husband Jack, all of Walnutport; three sons, Richard Scott and wife Gail of Allentown, Michael of Coplay and Daniel Kramlich and wife Ann Hoefer of Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two sisters, Esther Meyers of Allentown and Sally and husband Tom Heffner of Northampton; and two brothers, Robert Schray of Whitehall and Sheldon Schray and wife Carol of Catasauqua.

She is predeceased by a sister, Verona Bickert; a sister-in-law, Renae (Kunkle) Schray; two brothers-in-law, Donald Meyers and Ernie Bickert; and a son-in-law, William “Jeff” Matthews.

There will be a calling time 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral services noon, March 15 at the church, 3005 S. Front St., Whitehall, 18052.
