Moore Township: Board of supervisors to meet March 4

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. March 4 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board’s next meeting is 7 p.m. March 10 at the municipal building.

The Community Days committee next meets 6:30 p.m. March 13 at the municipal building. The committee is also planning a tool bingo and seeks additional members.

The township recreation committee next meets 7 p.m. March 20 at the municipal building. The committee works to assist township children and families. Consider supporting the group’s important work or joining the committee.

The township recreation committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veterans memorial at the recreation center.

An alert from Moore Township Police Department: There are reports of sick or dead snow geese in the Slate Belt area due to the H5N1 bird flu virus. Should you encounter a sick or dead snow goose, do not handle it.

Scout Damien Weist is raising funds for his Eagle Scout project by selling memorial bricks. His project is a memorial at American Legion Eckley E. Patch Post 470.

Logan Cupples, of Boy Scout with Troop 33 of Bath, is planning an Eagle Scout project to install 10 bat boxes and two owl nesting boxes at Schiavone Park and Appalachian Park in Moore Township.

Moore Township is seeking to fill the following vacancies — historical commission: one person for a five-year term; and Americans with Disabilities Act committee: three people for a one-year term.

Bingo is played 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Department, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 5 p.m.

Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Moorestown, hosts Scout Troop 74 meetings 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday in the social hall. Scouts is for boys and girls 10 years old and up.
