The Catasauqua Middle School Student Forum is collecting nonperishable food items through Feb. 28 for the CMS Souper Bowl of Caring food drive. Make sure items are not expired and are not in glass containers.
These food donations will benefit Catasauqua Community Cares Program and Catasauqua Area Food Bank.
The homeroom that brings in the most items will win a pizza party.

Read Across America Week is planned for March 3-6. The weeklong celebration encourages children to read. CMS is doing themed dress-up days to celebrate.
• March 3: Pick a partner to share a book and dress like a twin or wear the same color shirt.
• March 4: Wear animal print or camo.
• March 5: Wear a shirt with words on it.
• March 6: Wear a college or school spirit shirt.

There will be no school for students March 7 for a teacher in-service day.

Support the eighth-grade formal with a basket raffle, hosted at Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St.
The dance will be held 4-8 p.m. March 14 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 15.
There will be food and baked goods for purchase.
You do not need to be present to win.
Donations for the event are being accepted.
