Catasauqua: St. Mary’s to hold Lenten dinner

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 W. Union St., will hold a Lenten dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 7 in the parish center, with dine-in and takeout options available. The menu includes fried, breaded haddock with homemade tartar sauce, coleslaw, beverage, choice of roasted potatoes or cabbage and noodles and choice of green beans or stewed tomatoes.

Advance orders are due by March 1.

The Catasauqua Area J4 Celebration committee will hold the next planning meeting 7 p.m. March 11 at North Catasauqua Borough Hall, 1066 N. Fourth St. Anyone interested in helping to plan the J4 celebration for the 250th anniversary of our country is welcome.

There are still seats available for the mature driver safety class. When completed, attendees may receive a discount on their automobile insurance.

The eight-hour AARP Smart Driver course will be held noon-4 p.m. March 18 and 25 in Crest Hall at Luther Crest Lutheran Senior Service, 800 Hausman Road, Allentown.

Call Gwen at 610-379-6823 to register, for the cost or more information. There is a discount registration fee for AARP members. Cash, check and money orders will be accepted as payment.
