The Allen Township dog park is temporarily closed until approximately the end of April. The official reopening date will be announced on the township website, allentownship.org, and on Facebook.

The closure is due to the amount of precipitation the area has experienced over the past few months, as well as the upcoming freeze/thaw cycle. Limiting all paw/foot traffic during this time will allow for the proper regeneration of healthy grass.

The Allen Township recycling bins are back in stock.

Residents can pick up their bins during business hours, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, at the municipal building, 4714 Indian Trail Road. Remember to bring proof of address when picking up your bin.

If you haven’t received a recycling bin yet, you can get your first one for free.

The 16th annual antiques show at Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, is set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 1 and then from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 2.

All three historic buildings will be filled with antiques dealers. There will also be hearth-cooking demonstrations.
