Are you currently serving on or considering joining a nonprofit board and want to become a more informed participant? Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley is offering LEAD Now; a 5-part leadership training program that provides relevant guidance on nonprofit board service. Each of the 5 sessions is a stand-alone session. This program is virtual, and each class time is 4-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 4 to April 1. Register at www.volunteerlv.org/LEAD-Now. Join staff at Camelot for Children in Allentown on Tuesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (any time or for all 6 hours) to work with 6 young adults with special needs who have completed the apprentice program and now volunteer to help set up events, plan and make lunch and do other fundraising activities plus maintain property and operations at Camelot. Center for Career Pathways and Literacy at Lehigh Carbon Community College Donley Center, Allentown, is looking for volunteers interested in tutoring English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED preparation to adult students. Flint Hill Farm Educational Center in Coopersburg is both an Educational Center and a Dairy. Over the past 9 years, the Dairy has successfully carried 50% of the Center’s working budget. We are seeking a dedicated person who would commit to milking one or both Wednesday or Friday mornings. We will train so that you are comfortable working with the cows. Greater LV Auto Dealers Foundation is seeking community volunteers to staff the 2025 LV Auto Show at Stabler Athletic & Convocation Center, Bethlehem, scheduled for Thursday, March 20 through Sunday, March 23. Daniel Tiger is back in Bethlehem and this year PBS39 & 91.3 WLVR will be hosting him right here on March 29! This event usually attracts over 500 families, so many friendly faces are needed to help keep people safe while still having fun. Shifts are available from 7a.m. to 2 p.m., 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Minimum age 14 with an adult. Clearances and application required.
