CROSSING GUARDS: The Bethlehem Police Department is hiring crossing guards for city students. Shifts are 60-90 minutes. Positions are available throughout the city. Enjoy weekends and holidays off. WRITING CONTEST: Public, charter, private, home-schooled and parochial students within the borders of the Bethlehem Area School District are invited to participate in the Richard Check Steelworkers’ Archives Legacy Writing Contest. Home-schooled students must send their entrees into the Steelworkers Archives offices. Students attending private, parochial and charter schools must give their essays to their teachers. Entries should be sent by June 6 to Steelworkers Archives, 77 Sands Blvd. #215, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Winners will receive their awards in September. BROUGHAL WRESTLER: Marvin R., eighth grade, finished third in the 155-pound weight class in the District XI Junior High Wrestling Championship.

SOCCER CAMP: Held on the turf field at Nitschmann MS, the camp is for students entering grades 1-7. Boys and girls, any experience welcome.

The camp is staffed by the Liberty HS coaching staff for the boys and girls programs, in conjunction with Liberty HS alumni and student volunteers. June 21-23 from 4 to 7 p.m., and June 23-25 from 9 a.m. to noon. Family discounts and scholarships are available.
