Jean Mae Hintze, 100, of Bethlehem, died February 19, 2025, at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. SHe was a daughter of the late Clarence John and Ruth (Vaughn) Tischler. She was the wife of the late Jerome “Jerry” J. Hintze Sr.

She was a graduate of Hughestown HS and Pittson Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse and served the community at Hess’s and Sears department stores.

She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township.

She is survived by three children, Jerome J. Jr. (Sharon) Hintze, Shawn J. and James K. Sr. (Sandra), all of Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Keri Belisaire, Carissa Hintze, Courtney Hintze, James K. Hintze Jr. and Kaci Hintze; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Allen Tischler.
