Shirley A. Hamm, 83, of Orefield, died Feb. 9, 2025, at home.

She was the loving wife of Ray L. Hamm for more than 66 years.

Born in Lynnport, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Madeline (Hermany) Frey.

A customer service representative for Ehrlich Pest Control for 17 years, she retired in 1986.

Before that, she worked for the former M.W. Wood Company Processing Plant, Allentown.

She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, Northampton AARP and a former member of the Tri-Clover Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Roger R. and Ronald L. Hamm, both of Orefield; grandchildren Mandy Hamm, Ashley (Chris) Helsley, Kayleigh (Scott) Mcavoy, and Brittany (Heath) Longenbach; great-grandchildren Ethan, Aliana, Annabelle, Emmett, Cora and Tristan; and great-great-grandson, Extion.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter Heather Hamm, and sister, Betty Hermany.

There will be a private celebration of life gathering held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the church memorial fund, 5103 Snowdrift Road Orefield, PA 18069.
