Gloria Knerr

Gloria Knerr died on Feb. 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

The daughter of the late Morgan and Erma Rohrbach, she attended Emmaus High School.

She worked at the Saucony Shoe Factory, Macungie, where she met her true love, Warren Knerr, her surviving spouse.

Together, they shared 65 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. Paul’s UCC, Trexlertown.

A talented seamstress, she made each of her daughters’ wedding gowns and countless Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.

Until her later years, when macular degeneration affected her vision, she would always answer the call for mending from friends and family.

She felt her greatest job was raising her four children.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Sallie (Phil) Cremer and Marcie (Russ) Purinton; sons Harry (Sherry) and Larry (Sudz); siblings Woody (Fran) Rohrbach of Emmaus, Elwood Rohrbach of Macungie and Joanne Stine of Arizona; six grandchildren; three great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Paul, twins Floyd and Loyd, and Gerald and Linwood Rohrbach; sisters Joyce Measler and Fern Rupert; granddaughter Laura Cremer and great-granddaughter, Blayze Ember.

Visitation will take place 10-11 a.m. Feb. 21 at St. Paul’s UCC, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown, with the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
