Student-athletes
on honor roll
More than 150 student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference’s fall academic honor roll at Lebanon Valley College, Annville.
Local students include:
Germansville: Samuel Bower: and
Kempton: Joseph Chukoskie.
Both students are graduates of Northwestern Lehigh High School, and are members of the Lebanon Valley College men’s cross country team, and pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science.
Chukoskie was one of six Lebanon Valley College cross country runners named All-Academic by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
To be named All-Academic, a student must record a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship meet in November.
The Dutchmen men’s cross country and women’s cross country teams earned All-Academic Team honors after recording a cumulative team GPA over 3.1 on a 4.0 scale during the fall semester.
The women’s squad had a 3.56 team GPA while the men had a 3.48 team GPA.
Chukoskie was also one of 16 Lebanon Valley College student-athletes to be named to the Middle Atlantic Conference’s Fall Academic All-MAC Team.
LVC had the most selections in the conference and were the only school to have at least one honoree in every sport.
The Fall Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and in athletic competition during the 2024 fall semester.
The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote for the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success.
A student-athlete must have a fall semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.
