Viking Fest scheduled Feb. 22 at DeSales University

Congratulations to students Delia McMullen and Emma Wells who were recognized as members of the All State Soccer team of Pennsylvania Jan. 25. Only three players in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference were awarded this honor so we are extra proud two Vikettes were chosen. McMullen was also recently honored as the 2024 Lehigh Valley Soccer Scholar Athlete.

On Jan. 30, the Allentown Central Catholic High School vs. Whitehall game was a “Gold Out” supporting pediatric cancer. The Vikings for Gold Club hosted a 50/50 raffle benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.

The EPC took part in the annual LVHN Hackerman-Patz House donation drive, with SAC members Tommy Roth, Lucas Mushrush, Milly Wolf and Annika Spinosa representing ACCHS during Catholic Schools Week. The hospital received a generous donation of food and water from this drive.

Our ACCHS musicians traveled to Berks Catholic High School to participate in the 50th Diocesan Music Festival. The ACCHS band and choir performed with fellow Catholic school students.

ACCHS boys basketball fell to Northampton and girls basketball fell to Emmaus in the EPC Quarterfinals Feb. 7. Both teams will play in the 4A Quarterfinals, with the boys playing Feb. 21 and the girls playing Feb. 22.

Great job to the ACCHS wrestling team who competed in the Falcon Invitational. Edwin Serrano came in fourth place and Alex Tripoli came in fifth place. The team also competed at the Panther Wrestling Invitational, with both Serrano and McCoy Miller placing.

Shoutout to the ACCHS Mock Trial team for their recent success. Andre DaSilva and Gavin Mahon earned “Best Advocate” awards and Charlie Strzelecki and Cooper Thompson earned “Best Witness” awards.

The ACCHS Aevidum Club attended a workshop at Notre Dame High School called “The Talk.” Aevidum means “I’ve got your back” and is a club that encourages acceptance, acknowledgment, appreciation and caring.

On Feb. 7, the ACCHS Key Club, cheerleaders and band visited Phoebe Home during their Super Bowl Pep Rally. The residents enjoyed performances from the cheer team and band as they got excited for the big game.

Show your Viking spirit by dressing in casual green and gold attire. The 2025 Semper Fidelis Award will be presented to Class of 1971 grads Kevin and Diane (Diersing) O’Donnell. These proud alumni are parents of nine ACCHS graduates, awarded for their loyalty, dedication, and involvement in ACCHS and the surrounding community. ACCHS baseball is hosting a “First Pitch Party” at Volpe’s sports bar in Emmaus 3-5 p.m. March 1. There is a cost for food and drink. The event will also include raffle baskets and a live broadcast by Eastern PA Sports Network.

Come support the ACCHS spring musical at a designer purse bingo in Masson Auditorium March 1. Doors open 12:15 p.m. and bingo begins 1 p.m. There are 20 games with prizes and food and raffles will be available for purchase. There is a cost and players may preregister or pay at the door. Seventh and eighth grade students are invited to the Future Viking semiformal dance 7-10 p.m. March 8. Join us in Rockne Hall to meet your future ACCHS classmates. There is a cost for admission and refreshments will be available for purchase.
