Lower Macungie Library hours are 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Chit Chat & Craft Adult Craft Night will meet 6-8 p.m. Feb. 25 for impressionist painting and March 12 for sculpture.
There will be Sensory Coloring and Crafting for Adults 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 and March 25.
There will be a Build It! Block Party for ages 2-6 years 10-11 a.m. Feb. 26.
Tell a Fairy Tale Day for grades K-5 will be held 6-7 p.m. Feb. 26.
There will be a Sensory Movie Matinee 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 4 for adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers.

The Lower Macungie Library Book Club book for 10:30 a.m. to noon March 5 is “Other Birds” by Sarah Addison Allen. The book for April 2 is “The Dictionary of Lost Words” by Pip Williams. The book club meets virtually.
Celebrate National Dentist Day with Dazzle Someone with Your Smile! 6-7 p.m. March 6 for grades K-5.
Fun, Friendship and Fiber Arts (for adults) will meet 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 7 and 21. Bring your projects and make friends and share ideas.
Girl Power in the Wondrous World of Science! for grades K-5 will meet 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 8 to hear stories of girls in the field of science.
There will be a Sensory Game Day 11 a.m. to noon March 11 for adults with disabilities and their caregivers.
Books and Beyond will meet 6:30-7:45 p.m. March 10 at the library to discuss “Olive Kittredge” by Elizabeth Strout. The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m. April 14.
There will be Spring Storytimes 10-11:45 a.m. and 6-6:45 p.m. March 12 for all ages.
Flower crafts for preschool and K-5 will be offered as a drop-in class 1-3 p.m. March 13.

Teen Reading Lounge will take place 4-5:30 p.m. March 20 in the children’s program room. Teens will be reading and discussing “The House of the Scorpion” by Nancy Farmer.
The Alburtis Afternoon Book Club will meet 1-2:30 p.m. March 20 to discuss “The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah. The book club will meet at the Alburtis Community Center.

The film, “The Fries Rebellion,” can be seen at the Bartholomew Center for the Preservation of Lower Macungie Township History at Camp Olympic barn 1-4 p.m. Sundays.

Lower Macungie offers garden plot rentals on Bogie Avenue. Those who rented plots last year can now renew their plot rental through Feb. 28. Starting March 3, plots are available to rent on a first come, first served basis for residents and nonresidents. Contact the Lower Macungie Township Community Center for more information.
The Lower Macungie Township Senior Citizens will meet noon March 4. DJ Chuck Schubert will provide entertainment.

Lower Macungie Township now offers indoor pickleball at the community center gymnasium. Advance registration is required.
Open gym is available at the community center. Residents must purchase an annual membership to use the gym.

Adult classes include baking, belly dance, yoga, karate, ballroom dance and tai chi. Youth classes include cooking, Kindermusik, safe sitter, tennis, pre-ballet and tot sports.

Yard waste center hours for February are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Hours for March and April are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yard waste permits are required for drop-off. The center is located at 5536 Indian Creek Road, Macungie.
