WHS students win art contest

Whitehall High School placed 11 artists with 14 awards in the 2025 National Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. Meghan Malpedo’s students received one Gold Key, four Silver Keys and one Honorable Mention. Danny Moyer’s students received three Gold Keys, one Silver Key and three Honorable Mentions. Tracy Ford had one Honorable Mention.

There will be an awards ceremony and exhibition celebration at Kutztown University’s Schaeffer Auditorium 2-3 p.m. Feb. 23. The students’ work has been on display this month and will continue to be through Feb. 23 in the Miller Gallery.
