Rebecca A. Spieker
Rebecca A. Spieker, 89, of Above and Beyond at the Knights Senior Care of Allentown and formerly of Coplay and North Catasauqua, died Feb. 14, 2025. She was the wife of the late Rev. George F. Spieker for 65 years.
Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Helen V. (Brey) Keller.
She graduated from Emmaus High School in 1953.
She worked as a secretary for Wm. H. Taylor Company for four years. She worked for one season in the office for the Reading Phillies in 1968. She worked at Miller Memorial Blood Center for many years until her retirement.
She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay, where she also taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School and sang in the church’s senior choir. She also attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she served on the stewardship committee.
She was a den mother while her son was a Cub Scout. She was a member of and treasurer for North Catasauqua Betterment Committee.
She is survived by a brother, Charles L. Keller with Allene of Salt Lake City, Utah; a son, David C. with Mary of North Catasauqua; a daughter, Jane Ann of Catasauqua with fiance Sam Grim of Whitehall; three grandchildren, Denise, Jennifer Kibler with Randy and Daniel with Kristen; eight great-grandchildren, Skye, Annabelle, Timothy, Joshua, Cody, Adam, Levi and Gianna; one great-great-granddaughter, Ember Mae; and nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce E. Musselman and Nancy L. Bechtel.
There will be a calling time 6 p.m., followed by services 7 p.m., Feb. 21 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall.
