To the Editor:

In response to Stacey Koch’s editorial, American voters soundly rejected the direction of the Biden administration Nov. 5, 2024, and endorsed a different path going forward.

Since President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Democrats are seizing any opportunity to resist this new direction, including distorting Musk’s gesture of expressing heartfelt thanks to become one of a “Nazi salute.”

My father led his platoon onto Omaha Beach and two uncles carried life-shortening shrapnel from World War II naval battles, so I am intimately familiar with patriotism and the fight against the Axis powers. Distorting the truth in an attempt to make political gain benefits no one and only further divides America.
