Jeffrey A. Luhrs, 66, of Northampton and formerly of Reading, died Feb. 8, 2025, at home. He was the husband of Amy J. Capwell.

Born in Queens, N.Y., he was the son of the late William and Evelyn (Jarvis) Luhrs.

He graduated from SUNY Oswego where he majored in Russian.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator during the Cold War.

He worked for many years as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Benjamin; a daughter, Emily; a brother, Richard and wife Mary; and many in-laws.
