Coplay: Sign up for baseball, softball
Coplay Sports will be holding sign-ups for baseball and softball 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 26 and noon-2 p.m. March 1 at the Coplay Sports Den, 666 Potter Terrace. Baseball is for ages 5-15, and softball is for ages 5-8.
Online sign-ups started Jan. 6 at coplaysports.org.

Reminder: If you ordered a shepherd’s pie dinner, pickup is set for 4-5:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the parking lot at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St. The menu includes shepherd’s pie with gravy, fruit cup, roll and dessert.
Freewill donations are gratefully accepted to defray costs to allow the church to continue its mission of helping others.
Preorders were due by Feb. 14.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., is planning its third annual St. Peter Rocks Out Mardi Gras party, set for 5:30-10 p.m. March 1 in the social hall. The event includes a New Orleans-menu buffet dinner, beer, soda, water, coffee, tea, beads, masks, prizes, indoor parade, music by the Josef Kroboth Band and dancing. The party is BYOB.

Coplay Borough is taking applications for the 2025 Coplay pool manager, lifeguards and gate guards. Applications are available at the borough office, which is open 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Explorer Post 101 works to promote interest in the hobby of model railroading for 12- to 21-year-olds. There is now also a new Explorer Club for ages 12-14.
Meetings are 7-9 p.m. every Thursday on the second floor of the municipal building, 98 S. Fourth St.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.
The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Hometown Heroes banner applications are available at the borough office. Publicly honor your war heroes and first responders — police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel — with a banner.

Coplay American Legion Post 426 has a special mailbox in front of the Post at 134 S. Second St. Worn-out American flags can be deposited into the mailbox for the Post to properly destroy.
