Members of St, John’s Lutheran Church, Fogelsville, cooked up their first free community drive-thru dinner of the new year on Jan. 17.
They offer the meal every six weeks, regardless of the weather.
Members prepare a meal-to-go, which includes a sandwich, apple sauce, chips and cookies for anyone who wants a Friday night treat.
Members form a line to pass the meals, placed in paper bags, from the church kitchen to those waiting in their cars.
And, yes, sometimes it does get pretty cold for the crew.
Anyone interested in having a meal needs to be at the church by 5 p.m. on designated Fridays,
The community is advised not to wait until later, as the meals are quickly distributed to the earliest arrivals.
