NORTH WHITEHALL Music for a winter afternoon

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will host an organ and piano music concert 3 p.m. on March 2.

Performers include Jacob Roth, Blake Hoppes and other guests.

A highlight will be duets by Hoppes and Roth on piano and organ.

The audience will be invited to sing along on hymns.

A freewill offering will be directed to California Wildfire Relief.

Following the program, everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments, snacks and fellowship.

Youth in grades nine to 12 are invited to a confirmation winter retreat 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Union UCC.

Led by Pastor Kayli Freeman, the theme will be “Viewing Faith Through a Secular Lens.”

Food will be available during this day of fun and learning.

Rebekah Millroy, director of Neffs United Church of Christ Preschool, reports the 4-year-old class kept up the tradition of rolling and decorating their own Christmas cookies.

Millroy said the children practiced with play dough ahead of time and were ready to work with the real cookie mixture by the holiday season.

The director gave credit to family members who came out to help make sure the cookies were suitable to be sent home with the children.

Senior Pastor Kris Snyder of Union UCC and co-host Joe Kornfeind invite visitors to stop in for “Faith on Tap” at Korny’s Tavern, 2228 Old Post Road, Coplay, for a time of conversation and fellowship 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 25.

There is no fee to be there, but people must pay for their own drinks, alcohol or nonalcohol options.

Food is complimentary from Kornfeind’s Market.

Schnecksville Fire Company will have a buffet style, all-you-can-eat breakfast 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 23.

Meal features creamed chipped beef, ham, sausage, home fries, pancakes, toast, eggs cooked any style and beverages.
