Local football players announce decisions

Freedom recently announced three football players heading to the Division II level. Aaron Beete (Kutztown), Amare Duboise (Lincoln) and Jayden Macon (Lock Haven) all signed last week, giving the Patriots another group from a talented team in the fall to move on to the next level.

Beete was one of the most dynamic players in the EPC last season, rushing for 1,748 yards and scoring 20 touchdowns at running back. At defensive back, Beete he recorded 57 tackles and two interceptions.

Duboise is heading to an HBCU school in Lincoln, located in Chester County. As a receiver last year, he caught 41 balls for 692 yards and six touchdowns. Macon, a linebacker, registered 50 tackles and a forced fumble.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Carlos Perez also announced he’ll be heading to Lackawanna College.
