The District 11 girls’ wrestling tournament gets underway this weekend at Easton Area Middle School and Liberty looks to make another push for a top finish after taking second last year.

The Hurricanes had seven medalists and two finalists a year ago, including champion Gracie Haflich.

Haflich returns this year back at 170, along with returning runner Addyson Munro at 235.

Kierha Castillo (124), Doniya Anwari (130) and Ellie Rumbalski (190) also were medalists last year and will be in contention for top three finishes.

Luisyana Ortiz (136) is also a strong contender to reach the finals.

Freedom has three wrestlers that should come away with medals in Alyssa Laubach (130), Jedah Canty (136) and Alexis Horvath (148).

Laubach and Horvath are returning district medalists.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Remiah Rivera (106) will also be in the mix for a medal.
