Shirley M. (Phillips) Greenawalt, 94, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 9, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the widow of Wayne J. Greenawalt.

Born in Kutztown, she was the daughter of the late Elsie (Geiger) and Lawrence Sunday Sr.

A 1948 graduate of Hamburg High School, she was a member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, and the former president of the Kempton Lioness Club. She was also a member of the Kempton Community Center, Lynnport Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Kempton Rod and Gun Club.

She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother for Pack 89, New Tripoli, and served as judge of elections for the Jacksonville District, Lynn Township.

Her survivors include sons Kevin W. (Patricia) Greenawalt, Robert J. (Kay) Greenawalt, and Michael R. Greenawalt, all of New Tripoli, and Scott H. (Alaina) Greenawalt of Lenhartsville; grandchildren Katelyn and McKenzie Greenawalt; and sister-in-law Charlotte Sunday of Lenhartsville.

She was was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Sunday Jr.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 15 in Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway New Tripoli, with a calling hour to begin at 10 a.m.

Interment in adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Stanley Newton will officiate.
