Center for Career Pathways and Literacy at Lehigh Carbon Community College Donley Center, Allentown, is looking for volunteers interested in tutoring English as a Second Language and GED preparation to adult students. Food pantry support needed for Community Bike Works, Allentown. Stock shelves, organize all food for that day and assist clients 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and Friday, 3:30-6 p.m. Thursday. Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus. Contact James at 610-434-1140, james@communitybikeworks.org.
Empowerment Pathways invites knitters and crocheters of all ages and skill levels to join in creating handmade projects to support programming through fundraisers. Flint Hill Farm Educational Center in Coopersburg is both an educational center and a dairy. Over the past nine years, the dairy has successfully carried 50% of the center’s working budget. They are seeking a dedicated person who would commit to milking Wednesday and/or Friday mornings. They will train so volunteers are comfortable working with the cows. LV Auto Dealers Foundation is seeking community volunteers to staff the 2025 LV Auto Show at Stabler Athletic & Convocation Center, Bethlehem, scheduled March 20-23. All functions are indoors. Volunteers are needed for St. Luke’s University Health Network gift shops at various campus locations throughout the Lehigh Valley. St. Luke’s volunteers help the patients, visitors and staff. Drivers are needed to take elderly/and or disabled people to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. Members receiving services can enter and exit a vehicle independently. Share your marketing expertise to help increase awareness for The Rock N’ Run 4 Kids 5 Miler, 5K and Kids Fun Run held at Coca-Cola Park during National Foster Care Month each May.
