Single vehicle crash

A motorist and his passenger escaped injury when the brakes on their vehicle failed while they were traveling along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was westbound at approximately 6:54 p.m. Jan. 31 and struck a concrete barrier when the motorist tried to stop the vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway after the brakes cut out, according to authorities. Yocum Towing and Recovery also responded.

DUI

A 50-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the 3300 block of West Emmaus Avenue, Salisbury Township, 1:58 a.m. Feb. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
