Paula J. Frederick, 81, of Northampton, died Feb. 8, 2025, after an eight-year battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Richard R. Frederick.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Flora (Beck) Nyce.

She was a graduate of Northampton High School. At age 61, she earned her nursing license from Northampton Community College.

She and her husband owned and operated Hillside Drive-In and Mini Golf 1975-85 and Main Street Restaurant 1989-2017. She worked with Seniors Helping Seniors of Easton.

She was a member of Zion Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersville.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Zangari with Salvatore of Northampton and Susan R. Adams with John of Gold Beach, Ore.; a brother, Hon. Robert E. Nyce with Maria of The Villages, Fla.; a grandson, John Zangari with Vivian of State College; a niece, Jennifer Domchek with David of Northampton; two great-nephews; and a great-niece.

Services will be private.
