EHS names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My family includes my parents Chris and Jill, my brothers Oliver and River, my sister Evelyn and my cat Shadow.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is computer science because I enjoy coding.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I have been on Principal’s Honor Roll.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in this organization impacted your high school experience?
A. I am a member of the Dungeons and Dragons Club at school. I enjoy talking to different people who are not in my homeroom and getting to know other students.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge to date is living with food allergies. It can be hard navigating going out to eat and social events when you need to be careful about what you eat.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. I am attending college in the fall as a dual major in game development and computer science.
Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?
A. The historical figure I would like to talk to if I could is Andrew Dougherty, a playing card manufacturer from the 1800s. I really enjoy using player cards and he revolutionized many things with the production and appearance of playing cards.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as someone people could rely on.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Don’t neglect sleep.
