Lehigh Gap Nature Center, 8844 Paint Mill Road, Slatington, will host Lynn Shupp from the Palmerton Area Historical Society 7-8 p.m. on Feb. 13 as part of its Speaker Series presentations.

In this month’s program “Discover the History of Palmerton,” Shupp, a lifetime resident, local photographer and president of the Palmerton Historical Society will discuss the rich history of the town of Palmerton through photos.

History is important because if we don’t know where we came from, how do you know where to go next?
