LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

The Emmaus High School boys wrestling team had a successful week last week, winning both of its matches, each at home, one an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference dual match and the other, a non-conference match.

The Hornets beat Stroudsburg 61-12 last Wednesday night and then finished off the week with a 43-18 victory over Pennridge on Saturday afternoon.

Emmaus won 11 of the 13 bouts against the Mountaineers. Jackson Max began the match with a technical fall win at 107 pounds. Emilio Albanese, Teagan Caciolo, Levi Max and Tommy Fallstich all recorded pins in four consecutive bouts.

After a 5-1 decision for Xyler Sallit at 139 pounds, Chancellor Henry, Logan Armstrong, Jesse Scott and Massimo Tranguch earned pins in four of the next five bouts, with Xayden Sallit winning by injury default at 172 to round out the Hornet victories.

In the win over the Rams, Emmaus was victorious in nine of the 13 bouts, including three pins, three technical falls, two decisions and one major decision.

Max, Camren Martinez and Albanese each began the match with a technical fall. After Pennridge got on the scoreboard with a pin at 127 pounds, Fallstich got the six points right back for his team with a pin at 133 pounds to make it 21-6.

The Rams climbed back to within 21-15, but Emmaus put the match away with five straight wins, two pins from Scott and Xayden Sallit, two decisions by Henry and Tranguch and a major decision by Armstrong.

Emmaus has its final dual matches of the regular season this week as it took on Nazareth this past Monday and then travels to compete against Pocono Mountain East on Wednesday night, both conference matches.
