DUI

An Allentown motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of Buckeye Road and Tank Farm Road, Upper Milford Township, 11:25 p.m. Dec. 29, 2024, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist also had an outstanding arrest warrant for a previous DUI, according to authorities.

An Allentown motorist was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after she was found unconscious in her vehicle at CVS Pharmacy, 3295 Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 6:26 p.m. Jan. 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old motorist, no place of residence provided by state police, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of Brookside Road and Indian Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:19 a.m. Jan. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 28-year-old motorist, of Emmaus, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Little Spur, Lower Macungie Township, 12:26 a.m. Jan. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI crash

A 61-year-old motorist, of Macungie, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of Spring Creek Road and Heather Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:41 p.m. Jan. 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Weapon possession on school property

Troopers were called to Shoemaker Elementary School, 4068 N. Fairview St., Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 9 for a student who allegedly brought a knife to school, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Investigation revealed the weapon was “a fake/dull knife,” according to a news release.

One-vehicle crash

A Hereford motorist escaped injury when the right front axle of his pickup truck broke resulting in the vehicle crashing into a road sign along Church View Road, Lower Milford Township, 7:19 a.m. Jan. 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was eastbound along Church View Road in the area of Bell Gate Road when the axle broke, according to authorities. The motorist tried to steer the truck to the right shoulder and struck the sign. Yocum Towing and Recovery also responded.

Forgery

A person from Brooklyn, N.Y., allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent IRS check for $1,743.25 at retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:30 a.m. Jan. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft by deception

Someone deposited a fraudulent check drawn against Stockton University, Galloway, N.J., into a personal account and withdrew the money through ATM withdrawals on several occasions between Oct. 24, 2024 and Nov. 1, 2024, at a credit union location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported by a financial crimes investigator from the credit union. The check was made out for $6,799.72, according to authorities.

Theft

A wallet was removed from Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, after its owner left the wallet at the store, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 15.

A resident of Wheatland Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned of a fraudulent purchase for $9,135 on his credit card, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 26.

Retail theft

A 45-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly removed miscellaneous food items, valued at $20.73 and NFL trading cards, valued at $209.76, from retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly under rang the merchandise, according to authorities.
