Orest M. Kochan, 82, of South Whitehall Township, died Feb. 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus.

He and his loving wife, Stefanie (Singura), celebrated 53 years of marriage in June 2024.

Born May 21, 1942, in Northampton, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Dytyniak) Kochan.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

An engineer at Air Products for many years, he was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Andrea Kochan Neagle and husband, Damon, and Corissa Kochan; grandchildren Elizabeth, Catherine and Alexander; brother Dr. Edward Kochan; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Divine Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Feb. 8 in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton.

Family and friends may call 5-7 p.m. on Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday in Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.

Interment will follow with military honors in the parish cemetery.
