Kindergarten registration is open

Salisbury Elementary School Kindergarten registration is open. Do you have a child who will be 5 years old before Aug. 31? Then you need to visit www.salisburysd.org/kindergarten. Enrollment is all online but if you need assistance, call the school office at 610-791-2800.

In addition to registration, SES will hold educational and development screenings May 5-8 and July 31. School tours, bus rides and a parent information meeting will be held in August. Welcome to the newest Falcons!

Feb. 7 is the 100th day of school. Can you believe it? Only 80 more to go!

SES PTO is hosting a roller skating party at Whitehall Skateaway 6 p.m. Feb. 13.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed for Presidents Day Feb. 14 and 17. But that’s not all. They will also be closed Feb. 18 for a teacher professional development day.

There will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the administration building and a school board meeting immediately following 8 p.m.

Do you have an old prom dress in good condition you no longer want? Salisbury High School has a prom closet maintained by our district social worker, Jill Williams. If you have a dress or prom accessories you are looking to donate, email Jill at jwilliams@salisburysd.org.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church invites you to its annual Ladies Aid Indoor Yard Sale. This event will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 1. There will also be ham and cheese sandwiches and baked goods for sale.

Salisbury Township is looking to hire a part-time fire inspector. This position is 20-25 hours a week, working Monday through Friday. The job includes performing fire inspections and enforcing fire and life safety codes. Three or more years of fire service experience is required, along with being Pro-Board certified as a fire inspector and Firefighter 1.
