Feb. 5

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold free food distributions 2-4 p.m. Also Feb. 12, 19 and 26. Recipients must reside in the East Penn School District. Signs will be posted for parking and entry.

Feb. 8

Macungie Memorial Hall, 50 Poplar St., Macungie, will host a winter craft fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by K4K & Fur Mama.

NOVA Auxiliary frozen filling sale 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2375 Levans Road, Coplay. No preorder is necessary. Also on Feb. 9.

Feb. 12

The Center for Mindfulness will host a free mindful yoga class to practice meditation with movement 5:45-6:45 p.m. at the LVHN Health Center at Macungie, 3371 Pennsylvania Route 100, Macungie. Mindful movement is a calming, centering practice combining gentle yoga postures and mindfulness meditation. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, large towel or blanket to class. Feb. 14

Wildlands Conservancy offers the program “Snowshoe with Your Sweetheart” 6-8 p.m. at the Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus. An environmental educator will lead the group on a leisurely snowshoe trek, sharing insights about local wildlife, winter ecosystems and the natural history of the area. Snowshoes are provided. No prior experience is necessary. The event ends with a warm drink and a sweet treat. If there is no snow, a hike will be held. There is a cost per person. Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free takeout only community meal 4-5:30 p.m. The menu will consist of ravioli casserole with meat sauce, salad with poppy seed dressing, a roll with butter and heart-shaped cookies for dessert. Feb. 19

Join the Emmaus Historical Society for the next program at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus, 7 p.m. Sarajane Williams, president of the Lower Macungie Historical Society, will present the Fries Rebellion Movie, a film about self-discovery and political protest in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and a docudrama featuring historical events from The Fries Rebellion of 1798-1799.

March 1

The Allentown Music Club will present “Memories of Broadway” 2 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. Popular musicals from the 1960s until the present will be performed by “The Flutations,” an ensemble group directed by Karen El-Chaar, flutist. Also Monika Short, soprano, Jacqueline Ballarin, soprano, Barry Brown, tenor, Jonathan Beitler, piano and Bob Premecz, saxophone. The program coordinator is Jeanne Harakal. Attendance is free and open to the public.

March 3

The Emmaus Garden Club will host a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show 2025, “Gardens of Tomorrow,” at the Philadelphia Convention Center. The bus will leave Weis Markets, 1220 Chestnut St., Emmaus, 12:30 p.m. and leave Philadelphia 7:30 p.m. There is a cost. For more information, contact Diane at 610-554-0653.

St. Peter’s Union Church, 7863 St. Peters Road, Macungie, will host an Ash Wednesday worship service 7 p.m. All are welcome.

March 7, 8

The Emmaus Public Library will host the fifth annual “Tee Time at the Library” mini golf fundraiser 6-9 p.m. March 7 for those 21 years and older and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 for all ages. There is a cost for tickets. Mini golf fans will play an 18-hole course in the library stacks. Visit the website www.emmauspl.org for details.

St. Luke’s ThinkFirst to Prevent Falls presentation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Hospital — Sacred Heart campus, 421 W. Chew St., Allentown. ThinkFirst to Prevent Falls is an older adult fall prevention program. The program goals are to raise awareness of the prevalence of falls and their serious consequences and to increase knowledge on reducing risks for falls. The presentation is free and participants will learn about fall prevention topics such as home safety, safety in the community, talking with your physician, nutrition and the significance of exercise, vision and medications. May 10

The Seed Farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus, will host its annual spring plant sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also May 11. The sale is held rain or shine and features more than 200 varieties of locally grown frost and cold tolerant vegetable, herb and flower starters. Starter plants are non-GMO, pesticide-free and grown without synthetic chemicals. Staff and volunteers will be on-site to offer information on plant care.
