William C. Miller

Holy Trinity Catholic Church member

William C. Miller, 90, of Coplay, died Jan. 30, 2025. He was the husband of Jackie (Eck) Miller for 68 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the youngest son of the late Jacob and Anna Miller.

He graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1952.

He served in the U.S. Army 1957-59, earning a final rank of SP-4. From 1958 to 1959, he was an audio recording engineer for the Armed Forces Radio, Far East Network, stationed in Tokyo, Japan.

He was employed by Lucent Technologies, formerly Western Electric and AT&T, and retired in 1987 after 30 years. During that time, he supervised the installation of electronic telephone equipment throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Egypt.

He was active in his community, coaching Little League Baseball 1973-75, serving as an AARP local tax counselor for the elderly 1993-2010 and as an AARP local coordinator tax counselor member 2003-10. He also served on the Bear Creek Lakes Civic Association Board of Directors 1980-88 in Penn Forest Township, including three years as president.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Williamson; three sons, Jeffrey of Texas, Gregory and Timothy with wife Nadine; a daughter, Donna Wojewodzki with husband Joseph; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Christopher, Adam Waskie, Nikki Wojewodzki, Brett and Shane; and two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Eliana.

He was predeceased by six siblings, Joseph, George, Richard, Jacob Jr., David and Rose.
