Sheckler News: Feb. 6 is 100th day of school

Sheckler Elementary School will be celebrating the 100th day of school Feb. 6. Students are invited to dress up like they are 100 years old.

The Bayou pierogies orders are due Feb. 7. Pick up will be 5-6 p.m. Feb. 27.

The district board of education will next meet 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the district administration office, 201 N. 14th St.

***

Class valentine parties are set for Feb. 13.

***

There is a Sheckler Home and School Association meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 13 in the school library.

***

There will be no classes Feb. 14-17 for the Presidents Day holiday.

***

Race Street Bar and Grille will be hosting a dine and donate event noon-10 p.m. Feb. 20.

Registration for Catasauqua Youth Soccer Association’s spring session of soccer is now open until the end of February. New players who did not play in the fall are still encouraged to sign up. Players who have already played on a CYSA team are still required to register with a no-cost option at checkout.

Read Across America week is coming to Sheckler Elementary March 2-6.

There will be no school for students March 7.

There will also be kindergarten registration March 7. More information on the event is to come.
