Northampton Area Public Library: Teen Advisory Board to make cards at Feb. 8 meeting

An early happy Valentine’s Day to you, and a happy Black History Month!

Northampton Area Public Library always has something going on for the community. Now that Phil has seen his shadow, let’s see what further winter delights are in store in our nice, warm library building.

The Teen Advisory Board is meeting 2 p.m. Feb. 8 to make cards.

***

Stitch and Craft, a community craft hour focused on needlework, will be 6 p.m. Feb. 11. Bring your chosen project, and work on it as we snack and talk.

***

The game club for grades 3-5 will next meet 6 p.m. Feb. 13.

***

The board of trustees meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13. The group is accepting new members, so join if you’re interested.

The Chocolate Olympics will be held 2 p.m. Feb. 15. There will be games and all kinds of chocolate to enjoy.

The library will be closed Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day. Have a safe and happy long weekend.

The STEAM craft club for grades 3-5 will meet 6 p.m. Feb. 20.

Teen game club meets 1 p.m. Feb. 22, followed by the teen anime club meeting 2 p.m.

Family story hour will take place 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24.

Once Upon a Crime will meet 6 p.m. Feb. 24 to discuss couples who kill. If you are sensitive to discussions of violence, do not attend.

The Friends of NAPL meeting is 7 p.m. Feb. 25. Meeting minutes from January will be posted on the Web page soon.

Storycraft for grades kindergarten through second is back, beginning 4:30 p.m. Feb. 27.

Early literacy storytimes will continue with lapsit storytime set for 10:30 a.m. Mondays, toddler storytime happening 10 a.m. Tuesdays and preschool storytime set for 10 a.m. Wednesdays.

The Laid-Back Book Club is reading Matt Haig’s latest novel, “The Life Impossible.”

If you need a copy, it is available as an eBook and audiobook on CloudLibrary with your library card, or you can put a physical copy on hold for a quick pickup at the library.

Tech Tutoring is available Mondays and Saturdays. Our volunteers will do their best to help you with any device you’d like to learn more about, including basic computer skills.

Register at least a week in advance of your preferred date to ensure your tutor will be available.
