To the Editor:

Thank you so very much to Stacey Koch for telling like it is in her recent Another View piece “‘A Hitler Salute is a Hitler Salute is a Hitler Salute.’” For a young person to have the courage and be the one who points out the terrible significance of Elon Musk’s gesture is commendable.

It is an embarrassment for anyone with memory or knowledge of World War II to not react with disgust at such a display, and if any American doesn’t know about World War II, it’s time to learn.

Towns in the Lehigh Valley fly flags with pictures of veterans, many of whom served and died in World War II. What a gross affront to them to ignore such a blatant and offensive action on the national stage.

Thank you for your effort. Perhaps it will cause some people to reflect more deeply about our current state of affairs.
