STUDENT PROFILE
Grade: 12th
Family: My family consists of Elsi Khallouf, my mother; Zain Khallouf, my brother; and Alfred Khallouf, my father.
Favorite subject(s): My favorite subjects are math and science because they are the most objective. I prefer having concrete answers with little room for interpretation.
Activities: I have been a member of the Boy Scouts of America for almost a decade now. I participated in my school’s chess team, Scholastic Scrimmage, medical club, and engineering team. I weight lift on a regular basis and also take MMA classes.
Next steps: I plan on attending a four-year university and following that with a four-year graduate school, specifically medical school. I plan to major in biochemistry with a minor in the field of business.
Career goals: I plan on working in the medical field and also being a part-time entrepreneur on the side.
Heroes: My mother is my hero. She has been through so much in her lifetime, but she has always been there for me. Watching what she’s been through but always seeing her pull through has been the biggest inspiration in my life.
Hobbies: I enjoy fishing and use it as a way to relax. I also enjoy playing basketball and soccer with my friends.
Current job(s): I am currently employed at Wawa and I am also starting a job at the American Hotel in Allentown.
Volunteer/community work: I have done a multitude of volunteer projects with the Boy Scouts, including building a bird sanctuary for my local community center as my Eagle project. I also organized and facilitated a clothing/hygiene drive for Syrian refugees. I volunteer at the New Bethany church food drives regularly and I am an active member in their church.
Likes: My favorite thing to do is spend time with the people closest to me, whether it be my brother, friends, cousins, etc.
Dislikes: As cliché as it sounds, I would have to say getting sick is my biggest dislike in this world.
Greatest accomplishment (so far): My greatest accomplishment so far is hard to say, but if I had to pick one thing it would have to be ranking second in my class of nearly 700 students.
Advice for peers: The best advice I could give my peers would be to find a good group of people to support and be supported by. Academically speaking, that’s the best advice I can offer.
