Northampton Regional EMS’ 2025 ambulance subscription program mailer has been sent to residents.

The subscription program allows residents and businesses to contribute to the organization. In doing so, those funds help NREMS maintain readiness to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day.

NREMS is not funded directly by any taxes from any municipalities it serves. NREMS is a nonprofit organization primarily funded by subscriptions, insurance payments and donations.

Those who subscribe will have their copays waived 100% if an ambulance is needed. They will also receive a 50% discount on out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductibles. If you are a subscriber and have no insurance, you would receive a discount on the fee as a patient. If you are not a subscriber and an ambulance is needed, you would be responsible for any balance left after insurance as a patient.

It is essential to check with your health insurance provider to see what coverage you have.

Northampton Regional EMS provides emergency ambulance services and community outreach to the communities of Coplay Borough, Northampton Borough, Allen Township, East Allen Township, Catasauqua Borough, North Catasauqua Borough and Hanover Township (Lehigh Township).
