Loving the library

PRESS PHOTOS BY DONNA GEWERTZAva Kratochvil and her grandfather Carl Kratochvil Jr., both of North Catasauqua, focus on their snowman activity during the Public Library of Catasauqua’s storytime and craft event Jan. 25 at the 302 Bridge St. site. Attendees created their snowmen from Styrofoam and added faces and other accessories to their liking.
Ava helps librarian and program coordinator Amy Feidler read the book “Here Comes the Snow” to children at the storytime. The storytime and craft event begins 4 p.m. each Thursday and runs for approximately one hour in the children’s room at the library.
Sherlynn Ramos, of Northampton, enjoys the book “I Really Need Actual Ice Skates.” The children’s room is decorated to create a warm and cozy environment in which to select books to take home, sit down and read a book or attend a kids’ program.
Northampton resident Suleidy Ramos is ready for some reading as she sits amid a group of colorful chairs that complement the children’s room. The chairs are the work of Catasauqua High School art students and were donated to the library.
