District News: Report cards to be issued Jan. 31
Report cards will be issued by 3 p.m. Jan. 31 on the parent portal. Paper copies of the report cards will also come home on this day.

Reminder: Gockley Elementary School’s spirit week is underway. Get comfy in your favorite flannel shirts and fleece clothing Jan. 30, and chill and relax by wearing cozy pajamas Jan. 31.

Zephyr Elementary School will celebrate Valentine’s Day by allowing students to exchange valentines Feb. 13.
Whitehall-Coplay PTO PLUS will be selling valentines for 50 cents during the week to be delivered to classrooms Feb. 13. They will provide blank valentine cutouts, so each child has the opportunity to create and receive a valentine.
In order to ensure there is a safe and enjoyable experience, be aware of the following guidelines.
• Do not send any edible valentines.
• Food donations will not be accepted; this includes prepackaged items.
• Ensure students riding the bus are able to safely keep items in their backpack or on their lap. Any large items will not be permitted on the school bus for safety reasons.

There will be no school Feb. 14-17 for the Presidents Day holiday.

On Feb. 18, fifth-grade students will be visiting Lehigh Career and Technical Institute. Students will be bused shortly after arrival and will return back to Zephyr in time for lunch.
On the trip, students will have an opportunity to tour the facility, explore the various learning opportunities available and meet LCTI students and staff. This will be an excellent chance for students to begin thinking about their future interests and career paths in a fun and engaging environment.

The Zephyr Elementary yearbook sale is underway. Yearbooks are $25, and the deadline to order is in April.

The Whitehall High School counseling office will be offering financial aid workshops to 12th-grade students and families interested in receiving assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Families can sign up for the 8-10 a.m. Jan. 30 session, which will take place in the Large Group Instruction room at WHS. A student and a parent should attend together and bring a computer. Before attending this workshop, a student must create an FSA ID and be signed up for the workshop.
