Carolyn M. George, 70, from Schnecksville, died on Jan. 22, 2025, in her home.

Born Nov. 15, 1954, in Ballietsville, she was the daughter of the late Allen M.M. George Sr. and Ethel M. (Schneck) George.

A 1972 graduate of Parkland High School, she worked in the customer service department of Ironton Telephone Company, where she was also a part owner, for almost 50 years.

An avid cat lover, she regularly donated to local no-kill shelters, including The Sanctuary at Haafsville and Forgotten Felines and Fidos Inc.

She will be fondly remembered for her outgoing personality, holiday decorating abilities and her love for her “fur” babies.

In addition, she was an active member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where she formerly participated in the choir for many years.

Her survivors include sisters Patricia L. Stewart of Coplay, Rose Marie Beck of Whitehall, Nancy J. Werner (Fred) of East Greenville, Roberta F. George (Kevin Brey) of Pennsburg, and Sonia E. Fink (David) of Germansville; sister-in-law Shirley A. George of Schnecksville; 10 nephews; and one niece.

She was predeceased by brothers William D. George II, and Allen M.M. George Jr.; sister Dorothy A. George; and brother-in-law, Richard H. Stewart.
