Carolyn M. George, 70, of Schnecksville, died Jan. 22, 2025, in her home.

Born in Ballietsville, she was the daughter of the late Allen M.M. Sr. and Ethel M. (Schneck) George.

She was a 1972 graduate of Parkland High School.

She worked in the customer service department of Ironton Telephone Company, where she was also a part owner, for almost 50 years.

She regularly donated to local no-kill shelters, including The Sanctuary at Haafsville and Forgotten Felines and Fidos Inc.

She was an active member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where she participated in the choir for many years.

She is survived by five sisters, Patricia L. Stewart of Coplay, Rose Marie Beck of Whitehall, Nancy J. Werner with Fred of East Greenville, Roberta F. George with Kevin Brey of Pennsburg and Sonia E. Fink with David of Germansville; a sister-in-law, Shirley A. of Schnecksville; 10 nephews; and one niece.

She was predeceased by two brothers, William D. II and Allen M.M. Jr.; a sister, Dorothy A.; and a brother-in-law, Richard H. Stewart.
