Carol J. Barker, 76, of Jim Thorpe, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 20, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Her husband, Bruce E. Barker Sr., died Jan. 6, 2016. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve (Luksa) Kondravy.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe and was a former member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Allentown.
She was a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and taught at St. Ann School for many years. She had maintained a floral arrangement business in Emmaus in the 1980s. She was active in the Bear Creek Lake Community in Jim Thorpe and was an avid bowler in several leagues, including the St. Thomas More League, where she was the only female captain at the time.
She is survived by sons, Bruce E. Jr., Jeremy A. and his wife, Rachel Belani-Barker, Eric A. and his wife, Layne, Evan M. and his wife, Laura Gallagher; sister, Paula Trickett; grandchildren, Mira, Bridget, Powers, Tate and Brynleigh, with one granddaughter on the way.
Arrangements were made by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute.
