Join staff at Camelot for Children in Allentown between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (any time or for all six hours) Tuesdays to work with six young adults with special needs who have completed the apprentice program and now volunteer to help set up events, plan and make lunch and do other fundraising activities plus maintain property and operations at Camelot. Grace Community Foundation food bank in Allentown is looking for strong and dependable people to help unload the delivery truck 8:30-11 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month and help set-up Friday’s food distribution. Organized individuals willing to commit to volunteering one day a week are needed to coordinate the clinic desk for Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, approximately 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday and/or Friday. Duties involve calling nursing units to remind them of resident clinic appointments and directing other volunteers on which residents need transportation to the clinic area. Tour guides at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts are needed to lead guests through the museum while presenting a lively and educational narrative about the changing styles of the decorative arts over more than three centuries. Guides should be comfortable talking to visitors of all ages and will receive training from Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites to provide a high-quality tour experience. Become a Hunger Hero with Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley by delivering from one of eight pickup locations throughout the Valley; shifts start between 10 and 10:30 a.m. and take 60 to 90 minutes to complete. Deliver on your own or with a friend, family member (minimum age to volunteer is 10) or co-worker. Instructions and training provided; application and background check required. Share your fundraising expertise with Teach Rwanda, who provides teacher education and operates a world-class school for pre-primary and primary-age children in Rwanda.
