Richard “Rich” O. Ellis, 74, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 18, 2025, at his residence. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Winfield and Lorraine (Eckroade) Ellis. He was the husband of Mary Ruth (McHale) Ellis for 50 years.

He was in the United States Navy.

He pursued an associate degree.

He worked in the computer production industry at Western Electric/Lucent/Agere. After retiring, he got his CDL and drove truck for Joe Corbi and delivered fundraisers.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason; a daughter, Mary Jo (Billy) Nemchik; a brother, Craig (Kathy) Ellis; and a sister, Cindy Lou Ellis.
