The Parkland High School boys basketball team had a successful week in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action last week, winning both of its games, one at home and one on the road.

The Trojans, who improved to 9-7 overall and 7-4 in the conference, defeated Easton 60-38 last Tuesday, Jan. 14, and then went on the road and took down Dieruff 68-30 on Thursday night for their fifth conference victory in a row.

In the win against the Red Rovers, Parkland started out strong, outscoring Easton 13-6 in the first quarter and taking a 20-15 lead into halftime. The Trojans used a 15-8 third-quarter spurt to take a 35-23 lead into the fourth.

Tyler Beck finished with a game-high 17 points and Jude Ruisch tallied 10 points. Blake Nassry recorded seven points and both Ryan Kearney and TJ Lawrence contributed six points, while Blake Borcoman added five points.

In the victory over the Huskies, the game was decided by halftime as Parkland scored 19 of the first 25 points and took a 38-12 lead into the intermission.

Nassry led all scorers with 14 points, draining a team-best three 3-pointers. Scott Bauer tallied 12 points with two 3-pointers. Cameron Hines netted nine points and Javian Porter totaled eight points as 11 different players etched their names into the score column.
