STUDENT PROFILE Jayden Behard, Freedom HS

I am a senior.

My family includes three brothers and I am the oldest child.

My favorite subject to learn about in school is government and politics because I find it interesting to learn about the systems of government

put in place and their efficacy in the current day political environment.

I hold the position of secretary in my school’s marching and concert band where the instrument I play is the baritone. I am also president of the FHS French Club, treasurer of the National Honors Society, and secretary of the community service club. I also am part of my school’s crochet club and quiz team.

After high school, I plan on going to college and majoring in finance to gain a job in the financial field.

My hero is Celine Dion because she struggles with a rare autoimmune disorder that has kept her from singing, yet she vowed she would sing again. To learn that she had overcome her battle with her health to sing beautifully at the Paris Olympics was inspirational to me.

I am very grateful to be employed at a local Wawa where I mostly work as a barista.

I also volunteer at ArtsQuest where I help out with Musikfest and other ArtsQuest events.

Some of my favorite things are video games, lattes, travel, and pop music.

Some of my dislikes are physics, sweet potatoes, and judgmental people.

I would say my greatest accomplishment thus far is that I have been able to juggle very demanding classes, lots of school activities, and a part-time job.

My advice for my peers is to try out new activities during your time at school. You will never know if something is right or wrong for you until you take advantage of the activities offered around you. This also helps to push your boundaries which will only make you a stronger person and more informed.
