Robbery Conviction

An Easton man has been convicted by Northampton County in a 2020 armed robbery at Five Points in the Southside. Justin Noel Hale, 36, has been found guilty of various crimes and has been remanded to Northampton County Prison pending a March sentencing, facing as many as 54 years.

According to District Attorney Stephen Baratta, police were dispatched to the reported robbery around 4 p.m. March 29. A man and woman said they were threatened by Hale and another man while in a Wyandotte Street apartment. Hale and Quentin Wimberly were allegedly friends of the victim, and Hale struck the man with his weapon and stole his money and jewelry before fleeing in a black Audi. Hale observed the victim following and fired at him.

Police stopped the vehicle in the 500 block of Seneca Street. This was a retrial from 2022, in which a witness recanted testimony.

Hale is charged with robbery, conspiracy, theft, reckless endangerment, threats, receiving stolen property and carrying firearms without a license.
